The main factors of internal website optimization
Right simple steps in website optimization

Interest in internal optimization escalated immediately after search engines declared war on link promotion. However, working on the technical part of the site, its content and design has always been a good practice. Today we will talk about the main internal factors that you need to pay attention to when preparing the resource for more active promotion.
Title tag optimization
TITLE is an HTML tag that defines the text that will be shown in the browser header when the site is opened. Also, the information specified there is displayed in the search results. That is why you need to carefully work on the content of the tag. Think of it like the headline of an ad.
There are three TITLE optimization rules:
- place the key query within the tag;
- prepare a unique title for each page;
- make it so that you want to click on it when you see it in the search.
With all this, for website optimization for search engines it is important that the content of this tag be informative. It should unambiguously communicate what is placed on the page.
Optimizing Keywords and Description tags
We figured out the page title in the search engine results - it is defined by the TITLE tag. To form the site card itself, you need to prepare a snippet. This is a text description that also shows up in searches.
The snippet is formed from the Description meta tag. However, each search engine has its own principles of work. For example, "Yandex" will take the information specified there and show it in the search results if the query entered by the user is present at the same time:
- in the H1 heading;
- in the Description meta tag;
- in the text of the page.
It is important that the tag contains a meaningful message of an advertising nature. In this case, you increase the chances that a search engine user will open your site. The optimal length is 150-180 characters.
Keywords is an auxiliary meta tag. It must list all the keywords that are related to the page. Today there is no evidence that it seriously affects search results. However, the algorithms are constantly changing, and at one moment having completed Keywords tags can become your advantage.
Text optimization
Preparing text for SEO purposes is to adapt its structure. Need to add:
- main heading (H1);
- multiple subheadings (H2-H5);
- bulleted or numbered lists.
The last point does not directly affect promotion. However, it simplifies the process of reading the text, which helps to improve the user factors of the site. They, in turn, are already evaluated by search engines when ranking search results.
You must also add keywords to the text.
Keyword Density
In order to optimize the text, you need to add the keywords that you plan to rank for. However, the question arises, how many occurrences should there be? Among SEOs, it is customary to talk about the density of key phrases. This is the ratio of the number of occurrences of the key to the length of the text in characters.
Since the promotion of a site in Google has its own characteristics, it is difficult to accurately name the required density. Search engines work differently. In practice, the optimal density of occurrences is most often 3-5%.
Unique content
website promotion requires unique articles and images. In an effort to provide users with the highest quality results, search engines diligently weed out resources that consist of materials copied elsewhere. For them, non-unique content is a clear sign of a site that has not been given enough attention to the creation and design.
Even if you write articles and materials on your own, regularly check to see if copies of them have appeared on other pages on the network. Search engine algorithms are imperfect and they may well consider that it was you who "stole" someone else's text. If a copy is found on any third-party resource, we advise you to contact its administration or simply rewrite your materials in other words (rewrite).
